As QC4 gears up to fill key positions, including Chair and Co-Chair- Community Health Workers (CHWs) and Promotores are presented with an exclusive opportunity to step into leadership roles that drive collective impact within the CHW profession.
IDENTIFYING STRENGTHS & WEAKNESSES: A PATH TO GROWTH
Before delving into the leadership transformation, it’s crucial to acknowledge strengths and weaknesses identified within QC4 during our Annual Governing Board Retreat where a SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Strengths) Assessment was conducted. The SWOT Analysis highlighted a perceived lack of support from organizational leadership, with limited opportunities for CHWs to engage in leadership roles. Yet, the coalition’s growing meeting attendance stands out as a strength, further reflecting a commitment to collaboration and the opportunity to grow as a CHW. This moment presents an opportunity for CHWs to leverage their unique skills by showcasing their diverse strengths.
GOVERNING BOARD ELECTIONS TIMELINE: MARK YOUR CALENDARS!
QC4 has outlined a comprehensive timeline for the Governing Board Elections, providing a structured pathway for CHWs to actively participate and begin their leadership journey:
- Virtual Governing Board Interest Meeting: January 25th, 12-1 PM.
- Deadline of Governing Board Applications Due: March 8th.
- Queen City Community Connect Coalition Electoral Board Meeting: April 2nd, 11-12:15PM.
POSITIONS AVAILABLE FOR NOMINATIONS: SHAPE THE FUTURE OF QC4
Two key positions are up for nomination for the 2024-2026 term, each playing a pivotal role in shaping QC4’s future as a CHW Network and Coalition:
Chair: This role is responsible for overseeing QC4 coalition membership growth, collaborating with committee coordination, moderating QC4 meetings, representing QC4 in the community, and promoting collaborative and informed decision-making alongside the Coalition Coordinator. If you are passionate about health and social care that impacts our community, please consider nominating yourself as Chair!
Co-Chair: This role serves as a vital support role within QC4 as the Co-Chair will assume the role of Chair in the event the Chair is unable to fulfill a responsibility or term. Additionally, Co-Chair serves as needed for QC4 meetings, represents the QC4 in the community, and performs various duties as directed by the Chair and Coalition Coordinator. If you are passionate about health and social care that impacts our community, consider running for Co-Chair in our upcoming Governing Board elections!
