DESCRIPTION:Description:\n\n\n\nThis webinar will discuss how community health workers (CHWs) can use their role in their communities to help transform health disparities into equity through interactive\, reflective\, and peer-to-peer learning. Topics covered will help CHWs advance health and racial equity in the workplace\, communities\, and within the CHW profession. We will also discuss what it means to move towards “meaningful community engagement\,” and ways to engage and elevate dialogue about improved health and wellbeing for communities that experience health inequities. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nObjectives:\n\n\n\n\nDefine health equity.\n\n\n\nExplain how structural racism contributes to health and race inequities.\n\n\n\nDescribe how CHWs work to achieve health and race equity.\n\n\n\nDiscuss what health and race equity means for community and population health.\n\n\n\nIdentify at least one benefit and one tool for conducting meaningful community engagement.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTarget Audience:\n\n\n\nNovice and Seasoned CHWs\, Practice Administrators\, Public Health Practitioners\, CHW Supervisors\, Health and Social Care Team Members\, Public Health Team Members\, Community and Clinically Integrated Networks\, and others interested in and/or engaged in improving population health. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nREGISTER\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTHANK YOU TO OUR COMMUNITY PARTNERS
