Making Back to School Brighter for Our Community!
CHW News, QC4 UpdatesWe are excited to share a heartwarming recap of our recent volunteer event, where our coalition came together to make a meaningful impact at the 9th Annual Back to School Community Health Fair with C.W. Williams Community Health Center.
With immense enthusiasm and a shared vision for community well-being, Queen City Community Connect Coalition came together to support local students by distributing book bags brimming with school supplies. However, the event was about more than just supplies; it was a celebration of unity, as our coalition members and Community Health Workers (CHWs) engaged with the community, building bridges of trust and connection.
But that’s not all – our commitment to education extended beyond this event. In addition to the book bags, our coalition unified to donate a plethora of school supplies to ensure that every student has the resources they need for a successful academic year.
This event showcased the power of unity, as our coalition members and CHWs worked seamlessly together, embodying our mission to unify, empower, and equip community health workers to be able to make positive change in Mecklenburg County. We’re immensely proud to be part of a movement that believes in giving back to the community we hold dear.
Our coalition remains committed to equipping our members with opportunities that foster personal growth, community engagement, and empowerment. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who played a part in making this event a resounding success.
